Who I am

Federico Margutti was born in Milan in 2000.
Always passionate about craftsmanship, he enrolled in the Ambrosiana Goldsmith School in via Tortona in Milan in 2018, thus starting his journey in the world of jewellery.
In the following three years he attended courses in goldsmithing, repair and restoration of jewellery, setting, anticlastic and embossing and chisel, followed by professionals in the sector.
In the meantime and to this day he is committed to self-taught practice and experimentation, perfecting various precious metal processing techniques, always looking for new shapes for his DISARTES collections.

Unique and ARTISAN jewellery
Each piece on this page is made with completely artisanal goldsmithing techniques* starting from the fusion of the precious metal up to the setting of the stones and the final finishing of the jewel. Therefore each piece may have small imperfections and/or slight differences compared to the model shown in the photo.
*with the exception of some semi-finished products such as chains, clasps and some earring components which are industrially produced.

THE MATERIALS
All DISARTES jewelery is made with precious metals such as SILVER and GOLD in their alloys. Each artefact is certified with the TITLE (which determines the quantity of precious metal present in the alloy) and BRAND (which certifies the reliability of the manufacturer) stamps which are impressed directly on the metal and visible with a 10x loupe.

PRECIOUS STONES
Carefully researched and selected, the precious and semi-precious stones mounted on DISARTES jewels are completely of NATURAL origin.
Here are some of the stones used: AMETHYST, PERIDOT, CITRINE QUARTZ, GARNET, TOURMALINE, TOPAZ, APATITE, EMERALD, TANZANITE, CORUNDUM, SAPPHIRE, DIAMOND.

The ANTICLASTIC and EMBOSSING AND CHISEL technique
One of the oldest techniques in the processing of precious metals with which it is possible to shape the metal with the sole use of hammers and chisels. From the simplest to the most complex shapes, the metal is worked starting from a sheet with a thickness between 0.5 and 0.8 millimeters and resting on supports and shapes of different nature (iron, lead, wood, pitch) it is beaten with hammers and chisels of infinite shapes and sizes. EMBOSSING is the first phase of processing, in which the metal is "thrown out" from the sheet to obtain the basic shapes of the object. With the CHISEL, however, you will work on the outside of the piece, thus creating the detail of the finished product.
